At Christ Community Church we are deeply committed to the biblical belief that parents have the primary responsibility to teach their sons and daughters about who God is, who they are and what Christ has done in coming to earth. We believe that this responsibility does not stop with childhood, but continues through the teenage years. Our teenager’s greatest need is to know and place their hope in the saving power of the gospel and to grow as genuine disciples of Jesus Christ. To achieve this, our pastors and parents both take an active role in playing their part in the youth ministry at CCC.
At our youth meetings, parents play a significant role. We not only encourage them to attend youth meetings, but to be active participants. When our teens encounter God in these events, we want mom or dad to have the opportunity to minister to them. We believe this will in turn facilitate opportunities for parents to continue to care for their teen’s souls when they return home. As pastors we want to do all we can to build a ministry that helps parents and teens grow closer in these years and not further apart.
